I think the question the person asked is worded badly. Given that the slaves have been in chains, r*ped, beaten, mutilated, worked, watched their children and loved ones suffer along with them for generations and liberating those slaves is not a valid option, would mercy killing slaves at a grand scale be better than continuing to let them suffer?
