I know little about Matt Gaetz, and don't have an opinion about whether he is a qualified nominee to be Attorney General. I'm also not here to make a pro-Trump or anti-Trump political point; I want to address anβ¦

Notice how people keep calling Gaetz a libertarian to discredit everything he's involved in? Making everything into something bad enables this, since people will avoid supporting something good to avoid being called a libertarian sympathizer or something.

What is particularly good about Gaetz? He's a trolly r-slur who dodged a statutory r*pe (this is why he's a libertarian btw (and yes hebiejeebiephile is just a euphemism for libertarian)) conviction and is getting recommended for a promotion because he gives orange man good head.

He opposed the antisemitism bill, for starters, he helped oust McCarthy, and he rubs enough establishment politicians that he just happened to get smeared over bullshit s*x trafficking charges. At worst, he might make it hard for people I hate to do things that hurt me, and at best, he might bring down the hammer on as many of those people as possible.

Bro, we just went through several years of political prosecutions. Even Polymarket's CEO was arrested because too many people on there bet on Orange Hitler Part Ii.
Did you catch how FEMA admitted their people had been given instructions to skip homes after the NC floods if they had Trump flags out front? Or how the FBI went after parents who raised a fuss at PTA meetings? The Feds have been even more out of control than usual, and prison time would scare others considering doing anything like that.
