most people are kind of stupid tbh and easily swayed, but they know what they're going through. many trump supporters unironically think he's an outsider who's going to shake up the system and drain the swamp (even tho he was already president), and many libs think that next time democrats are elected they will finally socialize healthcare (even tho they were also just in power)

This is true but
to be fair to the democrats the last time they had as much power as Trump does now was for like 5 months back in 2008, and that's discounting the SCOTUS. Senate's been locked up since forever and you can't make socialized healthcare happen by executive order.
That said, anyone who thinks it'll happen within their lifetime is as r-slurred as someone who thinks the 2nd Amendment will somehow be repealed.
