I really want to avoid adderall if I can help it.
Some context: I actually managed to get an adderall prescription but I'm scared to take it I don't like taking medications, I don't even take stuff like Tylenol unless absolutely necessary. I need something though I feel like I can't keep up at work

Technically yes. I don't know if I actually have it tho

I was too. I used to be on Adderall as a teenager, but I quit taking it because it made me anorexic. (5'10" 110lbs)
I was finally able to manage it through exercise, caffeine/B vitamins and an L-Tyrosine supplement.

I don't know if I have it, I think I don't, I think I'm just not cut out for a fast paced world

Do you have trouble focusing on tasks or just trouble keeping up?

I'd say both. But is it really ADHD or does my job just put way too much work on me?

It's hard to say because I know too little about your situation. What do you do for work?

Case management. But tbh this has been an issue at every job I get. That's why I said I think I'm not really cut out for society if I need drugs to keep up

For me, the drugs didn't even help very much. They just made me jittery, irritable, and killed my appetite.
They even tried putting me on Strattera, which is a non-stimulant, but it didn't help and also gave me ED.
What ended up helping me was reading a doctor's blog, where he described ADD/ADHD as a "dopamine deficiency" and recommended diet/lifestyle changes/supplements to help manage it. I'll see if I can find it.

I'd be interested in reading it, I don't want to take drugs

I couldn't find the post I was talking about, but here's an article talking about the link between neurotransmitters and ADHD.
Exercise boosts Epinephrine, and L-Tyrosine is an amino acid precursor to Epinephrine and Dopamine.
