Yeah I can't even be surprised though. Europeans on Reddit consistently insinuate that I am the one that isn't versed in American politics, but they are somehow more knowledgeable despite the fact that I actually live here and exist in society on a daily basis..... Thats why I made it clear in my initial comment here that I am ignorant on Canadian politics and what I'm saying is conjecture. Also, thats interesting about the UK. Funny enough, it seems that both Canada and UK are seeing a rubberband effect where things have shifted so far left that they're naturally correcting to a normal level. UK just permanently banned HRT for all children until they reach their 18th birthday, and Canada seems to be ousting Trudeau. Germany seems to be a lost cause entirely. (1)

UK has been ran by conservative governments for 15 years. They're moving from right to more right and the standard of living are just getting worse. I live in Canada. I don't hate Trudeau, don't love him, he's charismatic and somewhat mediocre. However people have definitely become more openly right wing, are parroting right wing talking points that would be said around a beer in a garage with friends quietly in the past. Random racist stuff that you'd hear around the kitchen table or among the boys is now stuff people just say casually. This has seeped into politics. Lots of random weird stuff about women and where they need to be. Lots of it is bleeding over from the kitchen table, to social media, and ultimately into politics. Things are just generally more right wing. But left wingers are sick of the liberals too. They believe liberals cannot protect them from the rising tide of right wing reactionary politics. So they hunker down in communities, behind organization, online, etc... (1)

I mean, people are kinda done with Trudeau that's an undeniable fact. Based on polling and public opinion in general not to mention his own party caucus apparently. I never voted for the guy and won't in the next election but you know overall I wouldn't say he was terrible or the worst ever at his job, moreso that things either went really bad out of nowhere (Covid) or things have reached a head that multiple governments have failed to address in their time (housing).To answer your question though, I'd say a lot of the hate for him at least on here is bots. We already have evidence of this in local subreddits in Alberta as well as on the national subreddit of r/canada.Plus we have evidence there are farms in Egypt with the express purpose of botting for Anti Trudeau messages.So in summary, a lot of the outcry is probably bots thought I'm sure there's still some humans in there.
