Essentially a roided up J20 with drone wingmen.
Fly in fast, deploy drones, hunt and kill high-priority targets and then immediately frick out of the dangerzone and hopefully out-run the missiles sent after it and sacrifice the drones for the plane if necessary.
The Chinese abandoned all notion of "dogfighting" because their aviation doctrine is way different than the American doctrine aka theres no point to dogfights when you can yeet telephone poles over the horizon in massive numbers in huge squadrons whose main goal is to essentially deter Americans from their coastlines and kill AWACs/air refeulers/transport planes to cripple American air power over Taiwan and the nearby Pacific because the Americans have to sail and fly far as frick from home, and their island chain is good for containing China and bad for aggressing into Chinese air space.

Give it a few years. The duopoly is tough to break in aviation cause of economies of scale and legacy they have built up but if any country can it's going to be the Chinese.

I'm sure they'll get there eventually but nothing about their aero industry suggests any of it is years ahead of the west

Innovation in military aviation isn't necessarily related to civilian industry, MiG 21 was when it was introduced probably the best fighter though aviation industry in America and Europe was obviously much stronger. All it requires is a few cracked geniuses and some tens of billions in R&D spend. Look at that plane, their first stealth fighter was a knockoff F35 but that's entirely their own design. And launched within 10 years of J20s maiden flight. That's insane speed. Its specs will probably be kept outside public domain but if they start setting up production lines for this I'd guess its good enough.
