if there is one place that is guilty of this "strategy" the most It's probably Popeye. No fried chicken/fastfood slop restaurants chain I have been through has that intense fryfood smell, it has to be intentional at Popeye

Doesn't Cinnabon place fans to waft the smell of fresh cinnamon buns out into the mall?

See but that makes sense because it's not a standalone store. It has to advertise itself somehow to mall goers, best way to do that is by gassing passerbys. But if you're going into mcdonalds and starbucks, which are usually standalone, no shit they're gonna smell like a greasy spoon and coffee shop lol.

It's because Popeyes are often staffed by lower economic class individuals who are much less likely to fully clean their fryers or even replace the oil as often as they're supposed to. And they use the fryers a lot there.

You don't need to clean the dryer or change the oil. The heat kills all the germs. Science.

it's just a shithole with lazy employees who don't filter the oil or wipe the oil residue off of surfaces often enough :marseysmug2:
