Equally intriguing is the idea that Ogren, as the creator of this concept, might be some kind of hustler, as Taber claims: Who doesn't love a good old-fashioned grift? (And in particular: Has any other grift involved tree pollen, of all things?) But how much can we really blame "botanical sexism" for our allergies? The answer is, predictably, more complicated than any pithy TikTok or tweet thread can adequately convey.

A forester at the University of Georgia School of Forestry estimated that globally, only about 5 percent of trees are dioecious; the rest are monoecious, cosexual, or polygamous, meaning a single tree can have both male and female reproductive organs.

Even though this is crazy feminist bullshit, I actually do believe that on some level the government plants male trees because the idea of people just being able to walk outside and have a snack is incongruent with the soviet-style planned command economy imagery where everyone has to go to restraunts and grocery stores. The anti-car leftoids are sort of right in a tedpilled sort of way.

I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than planting a fruit-bearing tree. Honestly, think about it rationally. You are planting, fertilizing, watering and trimming a tree for at decades solely so she can go and get picked by another man. All the hard work you put into your beautiful little sapling- grinding her mulch, trimming her branches, making sure she had a healthy amount of water, killing the weeds, decorating her for christmas. All of it has one simple result: her fruit is more enjoyable for the men that will eventually pick her every branch.
