There has been a lot of r-slur right infighting on this over stuff no one believes, I'm fairly certain elon isn't going to H1B a janitor and he can't hire them for any of the work requiring classified stuff. He seems to just want ones who are similar to him, were born in a shithole and are willing to work hard to get out. I think Vivek is also right about most Americans being lazier, if I become unemployed I can't be kicked out of the country, its a good motivator.
Realistically if we want to compete on a global scale we need to plunder the talent that is coming out all over the world.

students were BEGGING the teacher to allow them to do a project as a group because "we are not very good at coding" in a fricking COMP SCI masters course (cryptography, it wasn't even that hard)

but I went to competitions in HS and I was the only one in the region outside of the one school that had had an actual cs program who got even a positive score
then we went to this one competition in the city and it was 95% jeets and chinks.
