However, I will say to anyone trying the ridiculous slavery comparison of "derp who will pick our cotton," that isn't my position at all. I don't want undocumented immigrants to be exploited. If you think pushing back against the false claim that undocumented immigrants contribute absolutely nothing and acknowledging the role they play in our economy = I want to keep undocumented immigrants poor and exploited, you're either a moron or a dishonest person. There a difference between skilled fairly compensated labor and unskilled underpaid labor.Illegal immigration LOWERS the wages for legal citizens because they can be replaced in a heartbeat for someone that is willing to take well below market value for the same skills. Lowering wages doesn't help anyone other than wealthy business owners. Please tell me how it helps the average American (-22)

Racism is and always has been an economic issue. More specifically, every example it occurs, is conveniently so poor people blame other poor people, and never the people deciding how much they're paid. Heck, anti-Irish racism is the most blatant example to literally dismantle unions and labor strikes. Sadly, that is correct regarding the cost of their work. It's immoral, but pretending there is no value in the work those immigrants do is wrong, naive, and ignorant. THEY DO WORK. Work Americans don't do. At least as much work as legal immigrants with H1B visas do, and work that is just as important. Don't try to pat yourself on the back for your awareness of their exploitation while also denigrating their contribution to the American economy, society, and culture. Frick that bs. If their contributions had no value, then they could all leave and it wouldn't make any difference. Well, it will. And not just in the price of groceries. Deporting illegal immigrants will have a much bigger impact than not bringing in mid-level tech workers from overseas.Not sure why you think exploiting H1B workers is better than exploiting illegal ag workers. The H1B is exploitative both ways. It brings in more workers to compete with natives, and on the other end, the immigrant employee is basically trapped at that company, because they are their sponsor; if they don't work at whatever hours and wages they dictate, they can be deported. That's also not a hypothetical-Elon Musk did exactly that when he took over Twitter.So there's something for both the right and left wing to be angry about. Though it is somewhat hypocritical given that Trump opposed/reduced the H1B visa previously. (1)

My point is H1B is less exploitive than illegal in migration that the left champions. The left LOVED H1B up until 2 weeks ago. Illegal immigration typically begins with majority of the women being r*ped and assaulted and most of the men being robbed and beaten but we are cool with that. Exactly how many children are smuggled in to the country to be s*x trafficked through H1B visas? That's what I don't get. Frick both systems but why are we advocating for the one ran by a literal fricking drug cartel that murders, kidnaps and r*pes but the one that requires you to have skills is bad the answer is because now they're coming after OUR JOBS. The other immigrants want jobs WE don't want but other Americans do. Doesn't matter though because those Americans see trump supporters but now they want OUR jobs? Frick no (1)
