I average about 70 hours but 80 seems a bit much. I know someone who just got an offer where the expectation is 100 hour weeks which seems close to impossible. If the comp were better maybe that would make sense, but there's no equity and total comp is under $200,000/yr

jfc 100 hours is insanity and a road to burnout. I know someone who did 80 hours a week to pay off bills. Worked holidays and weekends. He lasted for about a year, which was much longer than I expected. He had complete burnout after a year and wound up doing nothing for a few months.
