Anybody know what's currently going on with the Homestuck game, which got over 2.4 mil on Kickstarter in 2012?

I know some company ripped off Hussie by using the money to fund a different game a few years ago. Hussie then handed over the game to another group only to encounter more issues.

Here's a Kickstarter comment that sums up the general state of affairs:

This has perhaps been the biggest disaster of a project anyone could have backed. Homestuck the game has been a faux pas for TEN years. TEN, mind you. I've seen less popular games with smaller teams get developed faster. Granted, yes, there's been a lot of internalized issues between the first dev company and now WP, but we deserve more information and updates. I've never had an email come out for anything, and even then, it's just... garbage. We have to scrounge social media for any updates of any kind.

And I guarantee that even 10 years later there's people who STILL never recieved any of their physical merch. Am I salty? Yes. Am I no longer a cringe kid? Yes. Am I just now a tired adult who wants to see results, updates, and a full game? Yes.

Looking through the KS comments I can't really tell what's been happening aside from this chud comment which was miraculously left up:

Any updates? It's been over a decade since I backed this and I'd like to know the status.

The game came out and nobody played it. Hussie quietly quit What Pumpkin and handed the company over to a bunch of emotionally unstable tr*nnies and then it imploded.

Looking for any info on what actually happened here.
