I listened to a retrospective of the ctrl alt del animated series earlier. Yeah there was a series. Yes you had to pay for it from the website. And it was terrible.
The comic really did implode after that one loss strip
I think the same company did the PvP animated series too. Pretty sure that one only got one or two episodes before imploding.
Also, after Loss, Bigger Than Cheeses did over a year of strips where either the punchline was the last panel of Loss or it was used as an alternate punchline.
But really the author worked the audience up to this. It was a nearly funny strip about some barely functional moron. Buckley, for whatever reason decided to make it somewhat serious and ruined all the characters. Probably saw the end coming

The author absolutely could not take a joke about it, I think he deleted his forums over it, which was a big deal back then to keep your fan base

Supposedly he was grooming minors on the forum which is one of the reasons

Loss in hindsight seems a very harsh criticism.

I'm so glad I never ran into his garbage.
The only time I heard of it was rdrama.net, which really makes you wonder. Is this place full of dumb cute twinks?
A question for the ages.
