which carry a maximum penalty of 4 years in jail.

I'm gonna go with the least dramatic approach and guess that he will get a slap in a wrist.
The main victory for Democrats and the Media is through the optics of Trump being an actual convicted felon so they can trot out that line before every story about him for the next four years and that's probably good enough for them.
And let's be real here, the average American can give zero shits about the seriousness of falsifying business records, it's pretty much a victimless crime like tax evasion or something in most people's eyes. It's also a good distraction for how embarrassingly bad the other cases against him are going for the prosecution. As of now they are pretty much all dropped or dead in the water.
