Their "Media Inquiries" subsection on their wiki:

/r/Borrow requests that any media publication exclude /r/Borrow from any publicity. The more publicity /r/Borrow receives, the more likely that scammers will join and undermine the credibility that /r/Borrow has.

Why is the subreddit public then? Why does it let any 4 month old account with modest karma beg for money? This is the most tortured logic I've seen.
