As with all /r/gym top posts then this includes a w*man and has been locked by the jannies.
I work in the beauty industry and go to the gym after I'm off of work. I have to wear a full face of makeup to work due to my profession. I have very sensitive skin and my face washes are prescription. I can not put any other skincare on my face. I can only use it 2x a day or I get dry skin and a rash, it's very harsh. I'm new to working out, I'm still embarrassed to be at the gym anyways because of body dysmorphia. I feel like I look like an idiot going in with full eyeliner/eyelashes etc. and although people say that other people don't look at you at the gym, we all know that isn't true. I've been going 5x a week but I'm really embarrassed and thinking of just going on weekends when I don't work but I want to go more than that. Do people actually care or is it in my head? I don't like record myself or anything, I wear my wedding ring, I keep my head down as much as possible and I do my workouts to the best of my ability. Please help me get over this so I don't stop going. Added photo of my weight loss journey for context as to why I'm so embarrassed/ what kind of makeup I wear. (Disclaimer I got a WLS in the past to become fertile, not all natural.) since this has photos I'm tagging progress just to be safe.
Rule 1 of /r/gym is:
However they never enforce that rule for women or s - see
post on r/GYM saved by heroic
for a recap of the time when me and
@Tardish terrorised Reddit's fitness janny clique.
Anyway this post isn't that exciting, it's the usual shitty /r/mademesmile-style comments like "Happy cake day! This is the correct mindset. π―" and "Frick the makeup, awesome journey! Hardcore".
I saw one random comment that stood out for excessive girlbossing:
Sis, I wear makeup to the gym 4x a week. Big ol' wing eyeliner et al. You have nothing to be embarrassed, worried or anxious about. I see several other women do it too. I honestly think people are not even thinking about it; they don't care because they're absorbed with their own selves, thoughts, & reasons for being there. If they do care, well those are their own weird feelings to deal with. You just keep minding your own. You're killin' it! πͺπ
Clicked their profile (/u/WolvesOnWeed) on a hunch and found exactly what I expected:

The wall is real but anybody who think it's in the 20s is either r-slurred or a libertarian (or both).

Missing one big part, acceptance. You have to accept you're in your 30's, or 40's, and can't dress and style yourself like an early 20's woman going for a night out
, nor let yourself go like your mom

I disgree. She even looks wrinkly in the bottom right pic, unless you were talking about the attire in which case absolutely. I'd give her somewhere between 20 and 23.
Oh ok that explains it
