I think the lady is the r-slur here. If he was describing some super unpleasant thing, like having to clean a Walmart bathroom, or a scenario that is particularly bad because of his personality, like being at at event with 1,000 people when he's an introvert, then her comment would make sense as hyperbole. But just saying you had a boring weekend where you did some errands and some chores is not at all meriting saying you would keep yourself safe.
Maybe she's just neurodivergent or some shit, but it comes across as insulting ("Really, that's all you do? You're lame.") rather than empathetic ("Sorry you had to deal with that!"). And, as if it needed to be said, Redditors are only defending her because vag. Now, it doesn't mean that he needs to cry himself to sleep over it either, but I don't think that he is necessarily. He's just showing people a weird interaction he had.
