Gender is a social construct so the only "truth" of gender is whatever society defines it as. They have been successful at enforcing their views in niche communities, but there's definitely a risk that these viewpoints have all been top-down and aren't actually followed by most people, or possibly even are resented by most people. If that's the case then there's a decent chance that a vibe shift could cause it all to tumble down.
