I never got why pardons always came at the end of the terms. If these are such true injustices it should be a priority to fix.

Mostly it's to avoid political fallout, either for the candidate or the party, but Trump can't run again anyway, will probably be near the end of his life by 2029 (assuming he makes it that long), and only cares about the Republicans inasmuch as they vote for his policies.

Nah I get doing the controversial ones later. But stuff like the drug offenders one Biden did could have been done 4 years ago with basically zero politial fallout. Maybe some republicans would have moaned and groaned. I'm not even sure they did though. But to be fair it was overshadowed by the cash for kids judge and the preemptive blanket pardons.
