As you can see wokie reddit commies who hate 40k are celebrating because they can now play warhammer 40k as commie wokies. This is literally g*mer gate 4.0 and I can't enjoy my funko pop games anymore because of this and I am making it everyone else's problem.

I haven't seen it, it's just that it got a ton of brain-dead secondaries into Warhammer spaces online and there's nothing worse for productive discussion of something than people who have never actually done it. Warhammer is a war game, not a wiki. The lore only matters to justify why your funkos are fighting the other guy's funkos.

The first edition of Warhammer 40k was titled "Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader." It was a wargame, not a roleplaying game. It was closer to a roleplaying game than modern Warhammer is, as it had a focus on long multi-battle campaigns rather than single skirmishes, but it was still definitely a wargame.
