I went to both public and private schools, not like the uber rich private schools, the Christian one where its the same education in public schools but they just squirm around the evolution topic. Looking back at the quality of my education and seeing what it could really be, I'm thinking of homeschooling my kid because I guarentee I am more knowledgeable in most subjects than most high school teachers. I was looking up curriculum from different programs, and some of these have you teaching latin and greek in elementary, which I found incredible. I'm not too worried about making my kids super weird because all kids are super weird now.
Also, i created the ping group !parents because I can only imagine what kind of info we could all share.
PPS, if you like anime and apply to this group, I will not be approving you, anime is gay, and gays cant make babies.

I'm just beginning to get redpilled on this topic. I'll share a few thoughtsβ¦
(a) It's eye opening how poor the demographics are even in nicer suburbs e.g. I'll be on Zillow and browsing $500k homes in a 80% white zip code, yet the public schools closest to that home will be 50% white and a significant % of the kids are on reduced lunch. I use SchoolDigger for the stats.
What's the cause of this? Are the richer whites sending their kids private, charter, homeschool, etc?
I noticed Colorado in particular has a significant % of school age kids in charters. Are there politics to getting your kid placed in a charter if you move to Colorado from out of state and don't have a lot of connections there?
(b) I've heard of parents forming homeschool collectives to divvy up the teaching and other duties. Would be interesting to learn more about the mechanics of this.
No need to respond publicly to these concerns for obvious reasons - I'm merely throwing some of the problems out there as food for thought.

I know around 10% of all kids are homeschooled, probably a majority of those are white or asian. We're talking to several of our friends and families to pick their brains about this. Seems like some are interested in splitting up the subjects, like the kids may be in groups of 4 or 5 and travel to a different house each week.

I was homeschooled until high school and consistently outperformed the vast majority of students on everything except math
, which my mother was not good enough at to teach
. It worked great until college when the accumulated pain of being the weird sperg with no friends or life caused me to give up and drop out
. Now I'm a factory wagie and I post here
.
Most kids are getting cooked from having tablets
and smartphones
and bing bing wahoo
nuking their attention span from the age of 4 onwards. If you can keep your child mostly untainted by all that bullshit they'll probably outperform 80% of alphoomers by mental strength alone.
You can absolutely give your child an incredible academic advantage, but if they don't receive proper socialization they'll turn into a bitter incel
- and the amount of socialization needed is a lot. Homeschool group, church, boy scouts, whatever multiple times a week can feel like a lot to you (and take a lot of work driving and whatnot), but it can't replace the ~6hrs a day that a normal kid spends with their peers at school.

Just make sure they're involved in as many cool extracurriculars as time allows so they have experiences being around and interacting with normal kids and develop some kind of personality and social group from a young age like everyone else.
All the homeschool kids I encountered when I was in highschool were like fricking aliens who'd never seen another kid their age before.

Yeah, but the kids under 10 now are so freaking weird and fragile that if mind ends up being a little neurodivergent, he'll fit right in, and if he turns out normal, he'll be so far ahead of everyone else socially that he basically wont be able to fail.

I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the top comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and i would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost i would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity. Next i would like to thank my parents. I want to thank my friend Josh Arcaro, for being really skinny and always there for me. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next i would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that i need to get through the day. This is a special moment in my life and i would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that i will never forget. I just remembered a few other people i would like to thank; facebook, the fish i caught in the third grade, my light in my room bc i wouldn't be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on facebook, my house because without it i would be homeless, and last but not least i would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first comment on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how i did this, i would say, you can achieve anything u set your mind on. To all the kids out there reading this, i would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the top comment is amazing, thank you everyone
