1. He is not the first president to abuse EOs this way. It's actually insane how everyone else the last 25 years got a pass for this and sort of the reason we're dealing with this now.
2. Yes he's an idiot for doing do, and some of these EOs are stupid because they're a waste of time and will be struck down.

If Trump seriously tries to subvert the courts when things get struck down then yes that's a problem. But so far I don't see this happening.

You're right but we're also acting like no other president has tried to push the limits of their capabilities. As much as I love FDR, he did tons of shit he wasn't supposed to, to try and correct the great depression. Or Obama's love of killing citizens with drone strikes. All Presidents try to extend the power of the executive branch, that's why we have a system of checks and balances in place.
