Why is it a heat map tho? Usually heat maps are used to show spatial data, but this isn't spatial data at all - all the items are along a single axis.
Wouldn't a pair of line plots, with the "closeness" of the object on the X-axis and the relative points given on average on the Y-axis, make much more sense? It would let you directly compare them on top of each other for example.

I have no idea what that has to do with my post but yes, Poortuguese were very good at running colonial empires because they let mulattos do the administration, knowing they would have aspirations to become a 'real Portuguese' and therefore had skin in the game. How much more do people value family over community over city over country over ... over humanity? I think social scientiests can probably measure this to a degree and there seems to be a clear difference in how much leftists give preference to things "nearer" to them.
If there is semantic confusion going on, than not that leftists care about the broad categories more, just that they have a different sense of distance. They clearly value wrongthinkers and chuds less than other groups. Maybe they just think that people in africa are their in-group in their global struggle against straight white men.
