US Vice President JD Vance has said that the acquisition of Greenland is very much on the table and the United States does not care what Europe says about it.
In an interview with Fox News, Vance has said that Trump is not joking about acquring Greenland. When asked if he expects the United States to acquire Greenland, Vance said "I think it's possible".
Rationalising Trump's expansionist streak by invoking national security, Vance said that the United States needs to have "more territorial interest" in Greenland as Denmark is not doing a good job managing the island and waters around it from Chinese and Russian influence.

/u/]Feeling-Creme-886 The reason why Europe isn't doing anything is that it has no leverage.
Finger-wagging church ladies, the only thing eurocucks can do in international disputes is write strongly-worded letters that everyone who matters simply ignores. For the past 30 years you've been pretending that Europe doesn't needs power nor prosperity (spending your efforts instead on the feeding of leeches). So now you have neither.

The US military is a massive jobs program and NATO consists of Europe subsidizing US military RnD because of political pressures to buy American weapons systems.

Yea renting your apartment out to US military personell is pretty common over here.
Germans take a few months of vacation to travel the world and rent their apartment out for 2400-3200 Euro a month to stupid soldiers who get too much money for housing.

Lol the European subsidization of US weapons systems is a drop in the bucket compared to the obligations the US has to jump through in return. Do you think the US would give a quarter of a shit about the Houthis if the EU didn't need the Suez?

Yes? Because it bothers Israel to which the US is turbo cucked. The US haven't really done anything meaningful for European safety since the cold war ended.

Let's also consider Ukraine where we screeched at the top of our lungs the Russians were coming and you all laughed.
Also far from direct security if we hadn't stepped into the boondoggle that was y'all's disaster in Libya you were literally about to run out of ammo. I bet the Russians would have loved that.

A broken clock is right twice a day. Of course no one was trusting the US intelligence after the whole Iraq debacle.
Of course having the Suez open benefits Europe but
Fighting the Houthies isn't an obligation the US has towards Europe, or the reason they do it.
Libya turning into even more of a shithole wouldn't have further affected Europe.
Libya is however an example of why the US being the security garantor for Europe is beneficial to it: It lets the US have an outsized influence in dictating European foreign policy. European inability to supply even such a limited military campaign means that it needs to keep seeking US approval for any adventures. A US which is increasingly disconnected from Europe militarily and economically is one with radically less say on what it does.
Like Chip sanctions on China. Good luck with that if the Dutch doesn't keep ASML from selling them machines.

Whose to say Iraq wasn't the exception to the rule?
Euros do not get enough shit for Libya. Iran and N Korea both restarted their weapons programs in response to that war. I weep for a US president who has to deal with a Europe interested in North Africa. Tunisia is literally the only country that hasn't had Europeans bumble their way into and frick it up. We didn't WANT to go in on Libya. They were the primary example of "if you play ball with us we won't frick with you" and you guys ruined it for us. You guys say "ouuughhh the US dictates our policies" but like...when? Germany guzzled Russian gas like an alcoholic. France backed the PRO genocide forces in Rwanda against us. The US has no advantage over Chinese firms in the EU and has a disadvantage versus local companies (I don't have a problem with the latter but when we try to do something similar you guys flip a tit). What possible things would you guys do differently? I'm serious. Trade more with Iran? Cool cause they're one of the main suppliers of Russian arms.
The sheer amount of money we lose wasting our time with you guys could be split 50/50 subsidizing the military and paying off our debts and the US wouldn't be able to tell a single difference.

The money you spent is spent subsidizing the military. Only its housed in a base in Germany instead.
And as much as Iraq may have been an exception its still going to make people hesitate when told.
Trade more with China. Things like export controls on lithography machines and curtailing Huawei were Instituted based on US pressure.

But if they were home and we were spending that same amount, then it's generated into the local economy and some filters back rather than none. Sure maybe not actually 50% but definitely more than zero.
Also we both know the anti spy/pro privacy software stuff you guys hammer us on would annihilate Huawei from even competing in your markets since those got really tight right after. Unless you guys plan on rolling over to ANOTHER autocratic country.

But postyyyy I can't complain the whole reason the US cares so much about Israel is traced back to the r-slurred girlboss moment that was the Suez Crisis when all of the US Arab allies blamed us!
