Sure, let's look at Canada's nearby alternate trade partners, we've got ocean around us on 3 sides and oh look, there's still America as our only land-locked neighbour. Guess we're stuck with continuing trade with America because the logistics of shipping the majority of our exports to nations overseas is functionally impossible to completely replace our land-based trading.
Maybe if we don't want America to frick with us so easily, we should instead work towards actually building up our own economy instead of pursuing r-slurred and vacuous bullshit that leaves us weak and vulnerable to exploitation. Its not as though we're a massive, resource rich nation with the land and capital to reinvest in self-sufficient industry.
