Easily the most insane part of this post. Why is he flying Air China and not All Nippon Airways? They're both Star Alliance, and ANA is a much better airline. But maybe it doesn't matter in economy?
!peakpoors, are international flights all equally terrible for you? You apparently have the people behind you strapping shit to your headrest, so I guess airline choice is pretty irrelevant. How sad.

I researched using a Chinese airline for traveling to Japan from Europe and it was much cheaper, like half price. Personally, I don't want to spend big bucks on a 10 hour transport experience, I'd rather spend that money in Japan
. So, it can be worth it, but it was not available in my country, so I would have to take an unofficial transit flight which would be insane, if the transit flight was late, I would just be fricked. Also, traveling through China would make me somewhat uncomfortable
