Cartoons take a long so they sometimes split the season. It never got renewed just split into two seasons.

They split the season and still give it a 2 year gap inbetween that split. Instead of streaming making tv more accessible for everyone it just made the creators all lazier

Any show has to do really really really bad, frick a producer's wife without permission, and have its set burn down to not get a season 2. There's some contractual money scheduling woo woo the way it's all set up. They generally decide if a show is going to end the season before it does, so most shows get an "extra" season.
