Because he didn't know shit about being President back then and all his campaign people got swept into PR spectacles while party veterans took over his real advisory roles

Now his campaign staff and MAGA in general are more hardened and can hold their own politically, hence getting way more done this timd

I agree he is very effective at doing what is within his powers and trying to expand them in a realistic, Obamaish way.

I believe that pursuing his goals will leave the US worse off and not Make America Great Again but one I hope that isn't the case and two that's besides the point.

I don't see myself coming around on expression of self being in the national spirit of freedom and personal/property rights (because what do you own if not yourself), and the views I derive from that.

But everything else? If America First actually works then I'd be pretty stupid to not support it. Pretty hard to imagine it outperforming "America is the steward of the world" but if it works, heck yeah.
