The answer is no. Unless you want a divorce or to be miserable. There are small differences that are fine but you're talking about major values and that's a big no no.
You can disagree on the best NFL team (Go Birds π¦ ) but for fundamental things, you must be on the same page or, as you mentioned, there will be lots of fights and resentment in the future.
You can disagree on stuff like sports teams, restaurants, vacation locations. As soon as your disagreements reach "Human rights", then you're in a major issue. You will be with someone who believes some people are destined and deserve eternal punishment for the love they show being different. Take that how you will

This isn't just a redditor thing. People with 2 different religious beliefs dating is just generally not allowed. Growing up as a super conservative Christian dating someone of another denomination was considered sketchy. Dating a Catholic was not really allowed. But dating someone who isn't even a Christian was unthinkable. Even now my parents would be very disappointed if I was dating a heathen. Although they'd get over it quickly because at least I'd be dating someone lol.

Well sure but that's because that implies different views on marriage and how to raise your children, which are substantial problems in a relationship. That's completely different than red team or blue team.
