Why are these people still basing their opinions of what the news tells them. Haven't we already got enough recent records to prove that there is no country with actually unbiased news?
The saying the highest award in journ*lism is getting assassinated exists for a reason, and we have all run out of actually journ*lists decades ago.
Do they not realize how often the west actively turns a blind eye to Jewish psyops in the middle east, or the Saudi torture sites, or the American blacksites still active in current year, or the records of media corps being owned by multimillionaires and billionaires, or the additional funding of media corps coming form the government based on them disseminating the "correct" opinion?
The truth is dead. Maybe it always was.
The only thing you can depend on is direct experiences now to define the world that is to be lived in and built up further.

I agree with that, yet if you only depend on direct experiences, you lose the ability to learn from other people, other places, from history, etc. Journos are all lying scum, but there are certain basic rules they play by (e.g., the NYT did a fact based piece about St. Kyle a day or two after they tried to martyr Him that debunked a lot of the leftie narratives that were being pushed when big tech was still sweeping hard because they classified it as a "mass shooting"), and you can still learn things from the news. But you have to cross reference it with your lived experiences (as a proud Muslim transwoman of color) and with critical thinking to identify double standards and inconsistencies.
The other thing about journos is that they often undermine themselves by seething and spewing biased language when spinning their narratives. It makes me want to disagree with them solely based on what they wrote even if I happen to agree with them.
There are no easy answers, and retreating into disbelieving everything you read can be just as limiting as believing everything the news says even the parts that contradict the other parts and changed 5 minutes ago. Consider these statements: No one I know voted for Trump/Harris, no one I know died of COVID, no one I know was injured by vaccine side effects, no one I know has gotten lung cancer from smoking, etc.
