So four of my wife's family members live here including us. 4 different apartments. Her cousin moved here 6 months ago and from the start the landlord has not been nice. The gangster boyfriend went up to him and asked if he likes his gf (office manager). It's a hot mess here. Any way, shit hit the fan last week. Office Manager wanted the wife's cousin and family to get out. Boyfriend was there to intimidate and block her from leaving so she can stay and listen.
Wife's cousin showed up and gangster bf was in the parking lot, tried to fight each other. Gangster bf pulled out knife. All of wife's family came out and told cops what happened. He was arrested the same day. The very next day, the other 3 units had their rent returned inside the mailbox. We didn't because we haven't paid it yet. It did not have a note attached to it or anything. Just their checks.
Can she legally kick them out and possibly us? I'm guessing she's gonna say we are a nuisance to the complex? Wife's family also has an attorney that is going to show up tomorrow with a restraining order approved by a judge. It is until Dec 21. Wife said they will have to leave the apartment until that date.
