From the makers of New Vegas, comes this.

Fricking r-slurs. They made a green vitiligo butch lesbian with broccoli zoomer hair.

Truly, New Vegas was a one-off, and they never could have accomplished it without being given all the assets from Fallout 3 in the first place. Look at how empty Outer Worlds is in comparison.

Nah, Obsidian had a lot of great games. Kotor 2, NN2, Alpha Protocol, South Park, even Tyranny was solid and I would have liked to see a sequel that improved upon it.

But it's clear that the studio now is just Obsidian in name only.

Do you really think even 1/4 of the team who made NV still works there?

Based on the performance, I'd guess NV was made by only 4 people to begin with so...

More of a question/statement than a problem in the comment.

I just dont know why people trust companies when its very rare that a whole team and director go on to make a sequel when you get some much new blood. It can be just as a bad thing as a good thing i suppose.

Obsidian used to make good games. Chris Avellone carried the whole studio though and without him and the other writers that left they're a husk.

It still pisses me off how badly the games industry black balled Chris. Least he btfo'd the stupid b-word who tried to ruin his career.

Knights of the Old Republic 2 was also a great game but they got to basically copy the original. That is where Obsidian was at it's best give them a good game to make a sequel for and let them just upgrade the gameplay a little while making a better story.

Obsidian made a bunch of great games. They're all buggy as heck, but they used to be able to tell a story. I'm still interested in this, a lot of the stuff in those screenshots doesn't look too far removed from some of the character designs in the first two games. I'm more interested to see the writing, if Outer Worlds was an anomaly or the new normal for them.

Outer worlds is going to look like new Vegas next to this shit. Play Kingdom Come 2.
