they can typically fire you for any reason during probationary period...i think its the first year or first 6 months...you dont even get vacation or sick time (it accumulates and you get it after probation)...

On here, reddit and twitter this feels like really inorganic posting.
Here people are somehow conflating the firing of probationary employees with the total annihilation of career federal employees. Probation exists to allow those employees to be easily fired for under-performance, this has nothing at all to do with the idea that Musk can just go in and fire the average employee at-will.
fednews looks like it is trying to make the average low-level employee look like some entitled harry potter-loving redditor, so that everyone can feel good about them losing their jobs
Twitter is even worse, where you get these really strangely written posts about "This is what we voted for!". Why would someone post that exact phrase? And why so many people?
It's legit strange seeing what looks like such heavy astroturfing from the right, using cowtools that are usually the domain of the left (or in the case of rdrama, Israel)
