essentially he's saying saturday night fever portraying a guy being a bad person who listens to disco was part of an anti-disco conspiracy to hate the gays and blacks and kill off the genre, because in actuality the events of the article the film was based on never happened therefore no crime was ever commited while listening to disco. just like wat the anti-wokes are doing by calling the mario movie (yes he cites that), barbie and marvel movies "shit hollow products of consumerism, that leftists only like out of contrarianism" is also a conspiracy to kill off shitty movies because if people watched more woke instead of tolstoy they'd be less bigoted and marvel could let him in their wall e spaceship
just like how it's a conspiracy to get my comment updooted

I suppose there could have been a conspiracy, but if there was, it kinda failed. The movie made disco bigger than ever; it did die off, sure, but that was a few years later and wasn't really related to Saturday Night Fever at all.
The whole "disco was killed by homophobia and racism" is a fairly common take, though it's obviously a bit dubious; it's similar to saying nu-metal died off due to hatred for white guys in fitted ball caps, or scene bands because of hatred for swoopy hair styles. It's not entirely untrue, but it's kinda mixing up cause and effect.
