Ironically, it is you who is misunderstanding.Awakened Garou = Cosmic "Fear" Garou. A form thats AFTER he gets God's powers but has free will. "Awakened" because his direct abilities took an almost Saitama-level power up.Monster Garou is what we are looking at and is conscious. Literally fought "with" Metal Bat vs Centipede and Evil Ocean. Monster Garou was a beast and would decimate Kaido. That guy was fighting nonstop powerhouses back to back. (1)

It's literally called "awakened garou: cosmic fear mode." Monster garou has several iterations. The unconscious monster garou that fought bomb and bang. The awakened garou that obtained god slayer fist and defeated platinum sperm and sage centipede. The hulking form that he obtained the more he fought saitama. The pic above is the guy that fought bomb and bang. And this garou is nowhere near as strong as he is in the three way fight. (1)

First off, we need to acknowledge that David has confirmed lion and bear kills IN BASE FORM while he was still just a shepherd. These weren't just regular animals either - ancient Judean bears were the now-extinct Syrian brown bear subspecies, which could reach up to 550-600 pounds. And he killed these apex predators WITH HIS BARE HANDS. That's already putting him at wall-level striking strength minimum.
But his most impressive feat is obviously the Goliath fight. Everyone focuses on the sling, but they're ignoring the actual calc here. Period-accurate military slings could launch projectiles at around 100 mph. Given the estimated weight of ancient sling stones (around 50-60g) and Goliath's reported height (6 cubits = roughly 9 feet), we can calc the kinetic energy needed to penetrate a skull at that size. This puts David's striking precision at BUILDING LEVEL when weaponized.
Even more overlooked: After dropping Goliath, David blitzed to his body and decapitated him with Goliath's own sword. Do you realize how much strength it takes to lift a bronze age sword scaled for someone 9 feet tall? The grip alone would be massive. This is an insane lifting feat that nobody talks about.
Don't even get me started on his later feats as king when he was in his prime. Two hundred confirmed Philistine kills? That's multi-city block level AT MINIMUM in terms of combat speed and endurance.
In conclusion, David scales WAY above where most people put him. He's definitely above peak human and arguably superhuman even before becoming king. Fight me in the comments if you disagree but show your calcs first.
