It's not worth 3 dollars bro. High quality knives are worth every cent.

But high quality steel should not do that unless you are chopping at bricks. Therefore: the knife is most likely cheap

Hard steel=brittle steel. You can see how the blade chipped instead of deformed. Blades have their limits and this was not designed to go through bone

The edge rolled. It didn't chip. It wasn't brittle it was soft. (inb4: askually ultra based high quality jap knives are all made from soft iron!)
