I've been through tonnes of rounds of layoffs in my career.
The weak links always know who they are, it's obvious from how they act when they realize layoffs are coming.

Technically the firings were indiscriminate. But only probationary employees were let go. Some executive agencies had employees furloughed and some spending changed but Trump/DOGE can't legally do much about 90% of agencies since they are controlled by legislative branch. Congress would have to. Besides that I don't think much has changed for most fed employees besides Elons r-slurred emails which he already backtracked on
