How does anyone afford childcare?! | "What do you mean I have to look after my own kid just because I'm home all day!? How could anyone?!"

Both my husband and I work full time. I work from home full time, he only gets to work from home 2 days a week. It's getting really difficult to keep my little one happy on the days it's just her and me while also working. But daycare is so expensive this is really our only option.

Idk what I'm looking for here. Mostly to complain I think. Other than my husband, I don't really have anyone to vent about this with (and he feels bad enough that I'm having a hard time that I don't want to add to it). I welcome suggestions for keeping my 16 month old happy when I'm stuck in meetings.

Wild idea, play with them? Teach them how to play by themselves? Quit your job and raise your own kid?

These people bother me to no end. If you ""work"" from home, you're probably not going to be able to be the sole caretaker of a child. "oh sorry let me leave this important meeting to go change a diaper" jfc.

Here's a simple rule: if you cannot (a) afford to live off a single income OR (b) afford childcare with your dual incomes THEN don't have kids

in asia the kid would be helping the mom "work from home."

If you don't hate women then you aren't paying attention.

Trust me once you go down the rabbit hole the horror becomes gutwrenching. Foids are more evil and insidious than you can possibly imagine.

I used to view them as a minor annoyance but once I started taking 150mgs of adderall and didn't need sleep anymore I started discovering more and more foidtruths and started to realize they want us dead. It's us or them.
