No. That's wrong on all fronts on the event you were referencing. A black man was being investigated on suspicion of murdering a child. When being interviewed, he said a Jewish man did it, and forced him to cover it up. That was why the black man was moving the body, covering up the crime, etc. There was no evidence linking the Jew to the crime other than that testimony. The Jew was still convicted and sentenced to death. However, his sentence was commuted to life instead, and the local community, not the KKK, didn't like that, so they broke into the prison and lynched the Jew. (1)
