I mean none of it is wrong, this whole thing was a fools errand to begin with and a costly one at that. Russian's frick up as a matter of course in basically everything they do but you're just not winning a war of attrition there. They have too many resources for that. Trump and Vance approached this about as diplomatically as a pair of toddlers first day at the playground (expected tbh) but again, Zelenksy should just play ball so more of his citizens don't get burned up in a meat grinder that was always leading to a foregone conclusion.

The problem here is that Trump isn't actually offering anything at all, a deal where the US lays claim to Ukrainian minerals, wants to be repaid billions and... There's no security guarantees that does anything to dissuade Russia from simply restarting the war after regrouping.
