There's not actually a difference, because "I have a visceral hatred of people who buy funko pops" is an accelerationist-collapse ideologically motivated political talking point coined and promoted by White Identity Extremists and Anti-Government / Anti-Authority Violent Extremists seeking to recruit to their movement and further motivate violent extremism targeting people who participate in specific consumer cultures which they can label as "degenerate" in order to push a "return to tradition" vΓΆlkisch political philosophy and/or recruit to Evolaist reactionary traditions.
One is cryptic / covert, and the other is explict / overt. Both promote hatred based on identity or vulnerability and both promote extremism. One explicitly promotes violence and the other leaves the question of the solution to the targeted culture open in order to evade social consequences.
