He said he thinks they will figure something out not that they will.
Canada would be r-slurred to enter any other trade agreements with the US. Daddy has made clear he will violate his own treaties and fundamentally doesn't understand how treaties work.
This is going to be fallout for a long time. Countries won't want to sign treaties with the US because r-slurs elected to POTUS can just violate them. This is going to hurt burgers for a long time.

The US has been notoriously dependable on treaties for over a century. It helps better treaties get negotiated because there is a long history of the US not violating treaties and indeed building in dispute resolution mechanisms to avoid issues.
It's hilarious that Donny flushed that and it was his own treaty too.
