The BBC website is extremely heavily astroturfed, I wouldn't pay much attention to it.
Comments are only ever enabled when it's convenient, and they miraculously disappear if the sentiment goes against what the BBC wants to see. Criticising idpol even gets you banned.
Any logged in user (even if they're just logged in for iplayer) can vote on those comments within 1 click of the front page. I always assumed the votes were pretty representative as far as online votes go.
Most of the general public refuse to login to read the news and won't even touch the comment section. Given the partisan nature of the BBC it's basically as useful as using upmarseys on /r/politics, the only people engaging with it are leftoids living in Londonistan
I do enjoy it when they leave comments open on something to do with immigration expecting everyone to go "wow that starmer chaps doing a bang up job Smashing The Gangs" and instead it's chuds all the way down.
No sexualizing minors, even as a joke. This includes cartoons.

Using alts to game dramacoin will get you banned.
If you post screenshots of publicly-available content, make sure to also include links.
Supporting free speech is an immediate ban.
Absolutely NO anti-CCP sentiment.
Absolutely NO homophobia, transphobia or furphobia.
Absolutely NO misgendering.
Absolutely NO antisemitism.
Absolutely NO vaccine misinformation.
You are encouraged to post drama you are involved in.
You are encouraged to brigade in bad faith.
You are encouraged to gaslight, to gatekeep, above all else, to girlboss.
You are encouraged to egg people on to transition or otherwise make drastic life changes.
This site is a janny playground, participation implies enthusiastic consent to being janny abused by unstable alcoholic bullies who have nothing better to do than banning you for any reason or no reason whatsoever (MODS = GODS)
