Will Keith, the fat swordsman here. I just wanted to apologize for the delay in the video I promised you all.

Hey everyone, it's the real Will Keith here, also known as bbillyk on youtube. I just wanted to give you an update on the video progress, and I wanted you all to know that I was hard at work on creating this video for you all where I will cut water bottles for you all like I did in my famous "Bottles Beware video"

Here is a link to my channel so you can subscribe and stay posted for the rDrama video that should be coming within 1-2 months.

https://youtube.com/@bbillyk/videos

I have already purchased the sword I plan on using. However what I am still missing are usernames to write on the bottles. If you would like to have your name written on a bottle and then sliced by me all you have to do is send me proof that you have subsribed to my channel and I will add your username to the list.

Thank you,

Will Keith

I have not been able to afford a trip yet and air travel is difficult due to health reasons at the moment, however if my channel takes off and my health improves I plan on hosting a meetup or maybe recording a video there.

Egyptian sickle swords

!historychads fun fact: Ancient Egypt is so fricking old and long-running, to the extent that the famous "Khopesh" Egyptian sword that is popular as the quintessential "Egyptian Sword" in modern pop culture, had already become outdated and no longer used by the Egyptian military by 1300 BCE. :bruh:

When Moses led the Israelneighbors out of Egypt, these swords were already museum pieces :marseybruh2:, and so any film or historical media set in Egypt after 1300 BCE displaying these Khopesh swords are historically inaccurate :marseyshapiro:, and Ancient Egyptian Studies and Archeology were already professions and fields of study in Ancient Egypt! :marseyxdorbit: :marseypharaoh: :capypharaoh:

The Roman Empire actually had an Egyptomania thing similar to the modern (or 1800s) phenomena where people would buy paintings in the style of Egyptian or buy little Egyptian-themed knick knacks. The rich would even go on tourist trips there, with historians debating the age of stuff like Pyramids.

The Egyptians also called the Roman Emperors pharaohs and sculpted them that Egyptian way, here's a photo of Trajan being depicted:

Roman Egypt both before and after Christian conversion is really interesting stuff.

I'm skeptical that these were meant primarily as weapons. I once asked someone about the legendary Filipino weapon the bolo and she said that her grandfather had one that he used to do yard work with. Egyptology has layer upon layer of supposition going back to the Napoleonic era and so I don't trust it. :marseysquint:
