Let us make something clear here.
There is a distinction between a person being a fascist and a movement being fascist.
MAGA is fascist, this much is indisputable. Some of MAGA is pseudo-fascist: unwilling or unable to admit it. Some if it is crypto-fascist: politically aware enough to understand that admitting it might harm their movement.
But just because a movement gathers around a strongman figure does not mean that strongman figure is themselves acting on a fascist playbook to carry out a fascist agenda.
Trump, today, came to Canada and begged for a strategic reset to the relationship. When it became clear that the application of a theory relevant during mercantilism was stupid, Trump backed down. This is what makes Trump not a fascist: Trump always backs down eventually.
The fascists here on rDrama dot nettt are sad that Trump backs down. They know that Trump is not a fascist. They're surprisingly open about their disappointment.
Just because someone announces their intent to do fascist things like get involved in expansionist wars and attempts to carry out those plans doesn't mean they are a fascist. Because Trump backs down before immediately finding the next fascist plan to intend, it's all kayfabe: Trump is not a fascist.
Anyone who says otherwise is an enemy of the state.
