It is amazing the amount of fake NGOs and scam government agencies that have been defrauding the government and the taxpayers all this time. As someone who generally believed that government was one giant graft machine, I am nevertheless blown away by the level of blatant fraud and corruption that has existed for so long. So many connected cronies and nepo babies living off free government grant money paid for by working people.... it is an outrage. I feel like shutting down the scams is not enough and that there needs to be prosecutions and efforts to try and recover what can be recovered from the fraudsters. It would be nice to think that by exposing these frauds we could keep it from happening again, but obviously they will just be replaced by new slush funds with the same old lobbyists and ex-politicians with their noses in the trough. Truly disgusting. The system has failed.
