My current girlfriend was a really close friend who helped me crack my egg. We met online and were friendly and flirty for a while. I knew she was gay but she didn't know I was AMAB (We met in a roleplay community and she assumed I was a girl) Eventually I told her that I wasn't born a girl and I was so scared of losing my friend when I told her. I apologized so many times for not telling her and she just shrugged and went "But you're a girl now."

She supported me so much while I figured things out, started HRT, tried on clothes for the first time... She's been amazing. We kept flirting and talking literally all day, every day, but being so far apart we both agreed to just be friends. Just with... Tension.

Eventually we met in person. I flew across the ocean to see her and when I got off the train in her town she ran into my arms and hugged me so tightly. It just felt right. She didn't hesitate at all. And then she leaned up and kissed me and it was all over.

We're going on 6 months together now, I'm packing for my third trip to see her, and we're planning on moving in together this summer.

Oceans-length relationship work so much better than at arms' length.
