How much space do you have? Ultra short throw laser is considered the kino of projector tech due to its fidelity but costs an arm and a leg. However it can operate within 20" of your desired screen wall. Short throw is good but if you're gonna spend the money you may as well go ultra short throw laser.

You could get one of the old school projectors for a lot cheaper but then you need more space. What's nice though is basically every modern projector can automatically resize and reshape to a wall.

Tldr: ultra short throw laser is expensive but quiet and minimalist and the preferred experience.

Standard projectors are good enough to use but they can be loud, hot, and hard to adjust the image sharpness just right

Lumens: minimum 1000

Price points: UST laser 2,000$ as a floor is a good base point

A really good standard projectors closer to 300$ these days tbh.

Check for color gamut it should say something like 101% srgb coverage or some even do full true HDR

can i go in the territory of those chinese 4500-6000 lumen stuff or are they misleading fluff? can any projector display during the daylight as in completely replacing the need of a television? box or torch type projectors?

If you want daylight direct sun viewing you're almost certainly gonna need a laser projector however light absorption cloths for standard projectors have gotten really good too.

The Chinese stuff is misleading fluff but if you can find a proper review testing it's true specs on YouTube they can sometimes just be a good projector but because of China they have to advertise like r-slurs with fake specs cuz everyone else does

i would do 4k instead of 1080p. Beyond that your basically just looking at price. Id also get the extended warranty

Just go back to the 80s and walk into a Circuit City store and buy one.

You'll need cash tho.
