SALT LAKE CITY — A teacher from Delta Middle School is facing r*pe charges after police say she was accused of having s*x with a 15-year-old.
Millard County deputies found out about the alleged abuse earlier this month, but said the accusations stem from a nude video sent on Snapchat and seen by the victim and the victim's friends.
Investigators said the victim told them he had s*x with the teacher near the end of the 2024 school year.

Journ*lists think "alleged" is some kind of magic anti-libel incantation. The charging definitely happened (as the headline acknowledges), but the charge is simply for the crime, not an "alleged" crime.
Saying that the person has been charged with a crime already means that the state alleges that the person did the thing.
It would be acceptable to use "alleged" here if the headline read "Delta teacher charged for alleged r*pe of teenager," but that's because the headline would then be making claims about what happened independently of the decision to charge.
