The protagonist of the film has an empty and emotionless life, without meaning, without pleasure, so his brain creates an alter ego that is the opposite and lives in hedoism, for pure pleasure and chaos. This concept in itself is already very interesting, it also has brilliant touches in the direction and an excellent construction of the plot twist. In addition to being very well acted, of course.

I also feel that it is a kind of cool film to watch.

That's a fine description of Fight Club! And it's the top comment! Good job reddit! :#marseysoylentgrinpat:

I feel like this was big in the late 90s, you had fight club, office space, and the matrix with the similar theme of basically having no direction and working just to continue existing, but not really being sure why.

This movie is so good and so brilliantly well made. But I don't feel like I can explain why. I recommend watching video essays on YouTube about the movie.

chad redditor refuses to elaborate and tricks the unsuspecting readittor into watching a video essay :chadsnoo:

middle class guy is raised to follow the rules and be a cog in the machine in order to succeed at life

finds life unfulfilling once he does this

discovers that capitalism and consumerism is bullshit and that the game only benefits the wealthy

becomes a communist and destroys the banking systems to eliminate the records of debt

>In February 1918, the Bolshevik government, led by Vladimir Lenin, issued a decree annulling all debts of the Tsarist regime, including foreign loans, and those contracted to continue the war by the provisional government.

the split personality thing was just to give it a "what a twist!" and was just a storytelling device

Fight Club was an early expression of anger and finding a release while figuring out what the solution would be

Project Mayhem was the active dismantling of the system that perpetuated the myth of "go to college, work in corporate america, and you will be deemed successful by society"

its akshually about gommunism

R-slurred take. The commies industrialized Russia. The movie was about the overthrow of advanced industrial society for one of chaos and self fulfillment.

Blowing up the buildings was just an interesting visual metaphor for this and removing debts could have been anything.

nonono I'm doing "Explain Fight Club To Libtard Redditors Who Think They Have High Media Literacy Yet Don't Like Movies Unless The Heroes Wear Capes And There Is No Moral Ambiguity"

but it wasn't about chaos or self-fulfillment for the long term, that was just a method to hitting the Reset Button and creating a world where vines grow on abandoned skyscrapers and you wear the same leather clothes for life because consoomerism is gay
